Stretchable dressings to relieve and promote the healing of burns - Urgo

URGO Burns sterile dressing is intended for the treatment of first-degree and superficial second-degree burns (blisters) as well as superficial wounds (abrasions, cuts).

Its mesh contains lipidocolloid technology, a unique combination of hydrocolloid particles and petroleum jelly. This formula relieves pain and promotes healing. In addition, the dressing does not adhere to the wound and allows for painless removal.

Instructions for use:

For superficial second-degree burns: first hold the wound under cold water for 15 minutes to limit the spread of the burn.

In all cases:
1. Clean the wound with an alcohol-free antiseptic.
2. Rinse with water or URGO physiological saline.
3. In the case of a burn, never use colored antiseptics such as eosin.
4. Dry thoroughly with a sterile compress.
5. As far as possible, preserve the blister, which acts as a barrier against infection. If it bursts, disinfect it. There is no need to remove dead skin if it does not come off by itself.
6. Remove the protective tabs.
7. Apply to the area to be treated.
8. The prior use of a cream is unnecessary.
9. The usual treatment duration is 5 to 6 days, with the first dressing being changed after 24 hours, then every 48 hours.

Contraindications:

Do not use in case of deep second-degree, third-degree burns, or burns on the face. In these cases, prior medical consultation is mandatory.

Precautions for use:

Reserved for the treatment of localized wounds, the size of which does not exceed that of a compress.
For extensive burns, it is desirable for the compress to extend widely to allow for the absorption of exudates.
If you do not see any improvement in healing after 6 days, consult your doctor.
For any burn in a child, ask your pharmacist for advice. In the presence of clinical signs of local infection (redness extending to intact skin, pain...), consult your pharmacist or doctor.
URGO Burns and superficial wounds dressing must be used immediately after opening the sachet, stored away from heat, light, and humidity.

Warning: Reusing a single-use product can cause risks of infection.

Flesh-colored stretchable non-woven backing with a polyester mesh impregnated with hydrocolloid particles (carboxymethylcellulose) and petroleum jelly in its center.

Formats: Sterile individual sachets.
